Interesting people, breathtaking geography, historic events:  welcome to social studies!

Who are we?  Where do we come from?  How do we fit into the picture, and what part will each one of us play in the elaborate tapestry of world history?  This year we will learn from the lessons of the past and explore the possibilities of the future in our richly diverse, constantly changing world.

Please take a few minutes to read our class syllabus (click on the link below), and find out what this class is all about!

BASIC EXPECTATIONS FOR USE OF THIS WEBSITE

This is a school website -- everything on this site should, of course, be safe, responsible, and respectful!

This is a place to share our best work and helpful resources, to find out about upcoming events and new ideas, and even to debate current events and complicated issues in our world.  While we will not always agree on everything, kindness in our communication is expected at all times!

All comments and other additions to the site must include only your first name and will be approved by Mr. Johnson before they can be added.

This is also an experiment!  The more that you contribute, the better it may become! Have fun!
